Do you like matches? If you are like me, the answer is probably no. Match books stink. Not only are the books easily misplaced, but the matches are also small and flimpsy and don’t tear properly out of the book for the most part. Matchbooks also look like trash strewn about your house and, in my experience, it generally takes 2 or 3 matches to even get the first one to light. Ridiculous.

I have the solution for you – Strike a Match! Strike a Match offers cool little glass match holder collections that keep your matches and striker all in one pretty little package. We do not smoke but we still love to have matches around. They are so handy to have in case of power outage, to light candles and especially to light incense. I really do not like using lighters because they always seem to break over time and we don’t want to get the ones that you have to refill. Also, there is just a certain nostalgia to actual matches that a lighter just can’t beat.

We were fortunate enough to get to review a few of the glass match holder collections from Strike a Match. When I first opened the box, I have to admit that I was very impressed with how pretty these glass match holder collections were. They also came in these gorgeous little baggies making them perfect for gifting. But I was confused. How would I light the matches? Easy. The striker is actually ON the glass itself! You can get the striker in a variety of different patterns. I like stars and moons, as you can see. You can also choose the color of the matches {either burgundy or green}. How cool is that?

The real test though…do these babies light? Yes! The first time! We tried several to make sure. They all lit the first time, every time!

So, Strike a Match offers gorgeous little match collections that light the first time you strike them. That is all I need to make these an A+ in my book. 🙂
