Girls’ Night In With Kleenex and Vudu.com @Kleenex #SharetheSoft #cbias #spon

Kleenex Girls’ Night In ~

My teen daughter and her friends love movies, especially chick flicks. So, she invited one of her girlfriends over for a girls’ night in on Saturday night. But as things often do, plans quickly changed.

Kleenex Girls’ Night In

The initial plan was for the ladies to watch “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” on Vudu.com. We picked up these awesome 4 packs of Kleenex tissues at Walmart that came with a $4 Vudu.com credit. The tissue packs were less than $6. How cool is that? Instead, the evening ended in what we thought was Amber having the flu. So, we rescheduled girl’s night for Sunday night – only to end up in the hospital on Sunday.

Amber had to have her appendix removed suddenly, but she is a trooper and still really wanted her girls’ night. So, we got approval from the hospital staff, brought our laptop in for Amber to use, and we got her movie that she so desperately wanted to see, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

We also got Amber one of her favorite magazines, M, and the Nicholas Sparks novel, Safe Haven, to round out her girls’ night in. The Kleenex tissues will definitely come in handy for what I assume will be another tear jerker. She couldn’t eat anything just yet but we got her a box of Ferrero Rochers for when she feels better. I mean, what girls’ night is complete without chocolate?

I will never forget how Kleenex were used to wipe tears of laughter off of my sick daughter’s face. We all know that it isn’t the best day ever when it’s a day spent in the hospital, but Kleenex and Vudu.com did a lot to make Amber’s day just a little better and I really love them for that.

  • This just proves that life is never what you plan. Love the flexibility of hospitals now to let you bring in your electronics so you can still live life. Hope your daughter gets well fast!

    • Thank you! She was maybe going to get out today, but she hasn't yet...so we are thinking tomorrow now. :)

  • I love the Kleenex Cool Touch so I am going on a hunt for the boxes with the credit. I would love to try the Vudu service out, looks like the almost perfect girls night for me, I would have needed a box of chocolate!!

  • Hope she recovers quickly! That was so nice of you to take all those goodies to her, I am sure it made her feel so much better!

  • OMGoodness! Poor thing...I hope she is doing well...that must have hurt her stitches to be laughing but how fun to be able to take her mind off of things with such a sweet time you created for her. I cant wait to try out VUDU for myself - thanks for letting me know about it. BTW - we are keeping the Kleenex company in business this cold and flue season!

  • Oh, too bad you had to have your girl's night in at the hospital! It was great that they let you bring all of that in...I'm sure it made the time so much easier!

  • When I was in the hospital having my baby girl my mom and sister-in-law came and we watched a movie on the laptop. So much fun!

    • Hospitals have so many more things to keep you boredom free than they used to. I am so glad they have internet!
