Easy Cinnamon Roll Waffles! #whatsfordinner

If you are like me and like something really fast and easy for breakfast, then you just might like this.

All you need is a waffle iron and a package of cinnamon rolls – the tube kind that you stick the spoon in and scare the bejeezies out of yourself with. You know you do.

1. Heat your waffle iron.
2. Slap the individual Cinnamon Rolls on the iron.
3. Close the iron and cook those babies for however long you think is enough. The original recipe states about 2 minutes but I like my stuff a little crispy – so I may go 2.5 – 3 minutes next time.
4. Voila! Breakfast is served!

My husband and I thought they were really good. I think I will pass on the topping next time, though, because I think the topping on Cinnamon Rolls is generally too sweet anyway.

*I originally saw this recipe at Interrupting Cow and had to try it for myself! Be sure to drop by and check her really cool blog!

  • I don't know why I never thought to do this... duh, so simple, love it! Totally going to try it!

  • Woohoo! Glad you liked them! I made some "cinnasticks" today - gonna post it up later though. I've been having a lot of fun with the packaged cinnamon rolls! Thanks for the link up there.

Oh... and for the record, I don't use a spoon, I just whack it on the corner of the counter til it pops open LOL

    • So, that whacking method - does that scare the bejeezies out of you, too? Lol!

Yum! Another recipe for me to try later, nice!

  • Oh my these look and sound so so good. I cant wait to make some of them . Thanks for the idea . So easy and quick to make.

  • Fast, easy and cinnamony sweet. Yes, I'm there. I'm not a normal waffle fan, preferring pancakes or French Toast, but these look amazing. How creative to just use cinnamon roll dough. Will have to give it a try.

  • My daughter used this idea and made French toast from cinnamon roll doll. The cinnamon taste is great. Good tip on leaving the topping off. We had it on the side for a dip if you wanted, but I preferred to use some syrup on mine. Very good!
