Spicy Spaghetti Recipe #whatsfordinner

Spicy Spaghetti Recipe ~

spicy spaghetti recipe

January 4th is National Spaghetti Day. So why not enjoy the dish that Arabs may have invented THOUSANDS of year ago! Bet you thought it was originally an Italian dish, eh? Regardless of who invented it, you know you snarf it down often. ;) So, why not have it this evening? If you are like me, you might want to jazz it up a bit. Sauce and noodles are great, but it can get a little repetitive, so here is the recipe that my husband came up with to spice things up a bit. :)

Easy Russian Tea Mix Recipe – Great For Cold Winter Nights!

Russian Tea Mix

My family has a tradition of going to the Festival of Lights every winter. Though we all love the lights, the highlight of the event is definitely the bonfire. We all roast marshmallows and drink Russian Tea. My husband adores Russian Tea, so we decided to make some for ourselves from a family recipe. This recipe is for instant mix. You just make a bunch and put it in an air-tight container and drink it a cup at a time, as you like. This way, everyone can make their cup to their taste preference.

Dishwasher Salmon – Would You Eat Food Cooked In Your Dishwasher?

Dishwasher Salmon ~

While browsing the internet, I found this video which gives instructions on how to cook salmon in your dishwasher. Yep, the dishwasher. I decided to investigate this further and apparently there are tons of people out there cooking dinner and doing the dishes at the same time. {Yes, the salmon guy does wash the dishes in the dishwasher while the salmon cooks – soap and all}.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese #whatsfordinner

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese ~

Here is the recipe for slow cooker macaroni and cheese that I have promised a few readers. Cooking times vary depending on the slow cooker that you use. I generally use a large oval Crock Pot (not sure of the quarts as it has scraped off over the years). I have a 5 quart and it is nowhere near big enough for this recipe, though – you could probably half it for it. I like to cook this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you are counting calories, this recipe is not for you – but for an occasional holiday treat, it rocks!

What’s For Dinner? Cornmeal Crusted Chicken! #whatsfordinner

This recipe is just a little bit spicy, but nothing extreme. {I might even add more chili powder next time}. It gets a nice crunchiness to it, too. I think you will enjoy this as a healthier alternative to fried chicken. :) My husband is using the leftovers tonight in chicken fajitas.

What’s For Dinner? Easy Baked Macaroni and Cheese! #whatsfordinner

I have a tried and true recipe for Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese that I make every year for Christmas. My daughter absolutely loves it. So, I wanted to make her some macaroni and cheese but not have to deal with the amount of time it takes to cook in the slow cooker. So, I altered the recipe a little and made it oven friendly. Although, in our opinion, this macaroni and cheese isn’t quite as good as the slow cooker variety, it is still very good. :)
