Appalachian State College Days – here are some outdoor views that I took around campus while in college at Appalachian State University. 
This is the building in which I spend the majority of my time {aside from the Sociology Building}. I can’t find a pic that I took of the Sociology building at Appalachian State, although I am sure that I have one somewhere. It is even prettier than this building, in my opinion.

I was reading on Yahoo! News today about how “nerds” are now being treated like rock stars. They are being enticed into taking jobs with nice perks such as limo rides and high salaries (seriously, Yahoo! seems to be insinuating that a high salary is a “perk”). Large firms are actively recruiting these fledgling techies just like a a sports team might recruit a star athlete.

Are you a college student? Do you have a child in college? If so, you know how difficult it can be to afford to attend college, especially the textbooks. I know that when I was a college student, some of my books were like $200, especially those yucky science ones with labs! Ouch! Unless you are a Biology Major, do you really want to keep it? Or sell it back to the bookstore for like 1/18th of the cost you paid? Wouldn’t you love an alternative to paying the high bookstore prices or trying to scam a book off your friends (and seeing the looks of judgment on their faces)?
