I think we can all agree that times are hard for everyone right now. With many of our nation’s schools closed at the moment, many kids are getting restless. Why not take them to the kitchen? This easy #TastyTuesday recipe is so simple that the kids can help, with parental supervision of course, especially with the last couple of steps. And we all know that kids love marshmallow treats. And, don’t forget, these Peeps Marshmallow Treats will also be perfect for Easter.
Peeps Marshmallow Treats Recipe
Ingredients
• 1/2 Stick Butter
• 10 oz. Bag Marshmallows
• 4-5 Cups Peeps Cereal (use 4 cups if you want more marshmallow and 5 cups if you prefer less).
Instructions
In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Next, add marshmallows and stir until the mixture is completely melted. Do not leave unattended as this can easily burn. Remove from heat and slowly add Peeps Cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until blended evenly.
Using a spatula or wax paper, press mixture evenly into a non-stick pan coated with cooking spray or silicone pan. You can also let the kids mash the mixture into the pan if you like.
After the mixture has cooled completely, cut into 2-inch squares and enjoy! Peeps Marshmallow Treats are best if served the same day. Nom nom!
