5 Ways To Show Pets Love That Promote Cat And Dog Weight Loss And Healthy Weight Maintenance #sponsored #hillspetCheap Is The New Classy

We love our pets and don’t want to deprive them of anything. However, it can be really hard to look at that little ball of fluff that depends on you for everything and not sometimes give it just a tad more than it needs. So, sometimes that means we have to look into cat weight loss and dog weight loss. With Science Diet, it’s not about withholding, it’s about education.

The Right Food To Promote Cat And Dog Weight Loss

We feed our pets for many reasons – they need it to survive, or course – but we also feed them to show them that we love them. But sometimes we love them a little too much. I know that I have given my animals treats a bit more than maybe I should have. It’s important to remember that we should feed our pets with love, not food.

5 Ways To Show Your Pets Love

1. Play – Actually play with your animal! Hoss loves to chase my husband around, especially in the basement. Then Jay will turn around and chase Hoss.

2. Hands On – Got a cute fur baby next to you? Pet it! Most animals love attention, and many love to be petted and to get belly scratches! As long as your pet is enjoying it, you should pet it.

3. Throw Something – Outdoors of course! Many dogs love fetching things {frisbees, bones, etc.} and cats love to chase things {yarn, toy mice, etc.}. Get your animal running and get some exercise in for yourself, too.

4. Proper Nutrition – Make sure that you feed your pet what it needs, not what it wants. Try to steer clear of feeding your pet too much human food {and definitely not human food that is dangerous to animals} and stick with food specifically designed for your animal. Food that promotes cat and dog weight loss and healthy weight maintenance is ideal, such as Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Feline Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution dry food and Hill’s® Prescription Diet® Canine Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution dry food.

5. Nap Time! – Many pets make excellent snugglers! If you have a pet that likes to be snuggled, then enjoy a nice, cozy nap together. This will be especially fun during the hot summer afternoons under a fan. 🙂

  2. You can’t deny that absolutely ADORABLE furry face and big ol’ eyes! Those pictures are just too darn cute ^.^
I agree with all those tips-It’s SO important to show your animal love and affection. After all you are their forever family!

    • Dawn McAlexander says:

My husband is all about the cats in this house and the one {“Hoss”} has him wrapped around his furry paw, lol!

  3. My dog LOVES is when I toss one of his toys from the couch so he can go fetch it.

  4. Aw what a cute cat and yest feeding your pets the proper food is essential.

  5. I always feed my pets Hills Science Diet… they are like babies and always deserve the best. Thanks for sharing, your kitties are adorable

  6. My little Grump LOVES naps almost as much as he loves food. He actually whines to go cuddle under the blankets! It’s becoming a bad habit for ME, but love spending the cozy time with him. 🙂

  7. How adorable!! My pooch is not doing well. Love her but hate what the future lies. A good diet is vital especially with older pets.

    • Dawn McAlexander says:

I am so sorry to hear about your pooch. I will keep you guys in my thoughts.

  8. We have a gray cat that looks a lot like yours, white paws but no white on his face– and boy, could his fat butt benefit from some “diet” food– unfortunately, this picky little beast will only eat Cat Chow— and we have tried all kinds of expensive and non-expensive foods.

  9. Your cat is gorgeous, such pretty colors. We actually switched our cat to a Hills diet recently. She is a big snuggler and usually every night at the same time she comes and finds me.

    • Dawn McAlexander says:

Thank you so much! This cat isn’t a big snuggler to me {but he does snuggle with the hubs}. We have one cat that sleeps with my daughter every night – laid over Amber’s side most of them, lol.

  10. We are bad for feeding scraps to our dog. We really need to stick to his dog food diet only.

  11. I’m going to tell my friend about the rebate. Her dog is the fattest dog EVER. She loves her dogs and spoils them rotten, but sometimes spoiling with food isn’t healthy. Thanks.

  12. This is a very important topic to address. I think some people allow their pets to overeat or to eat table food and they become overweight which is dangerous to their health.

  13. Proper nutrition is so important! I think a lot of people forget that it’s SO important to take care of their pets.

  14. We love Hills Science Diet and feed that exclusive to our dogs… they even turn their noses up to other food.. Love Hills.. and your kitties are too cute..thanks for shaing

  15. Great nutrition and exercise is the key, it’s pretty simple yet some think that having cats means they have a ‘no-fuss’ pet. you still need to ensure they are staying healthy!

  16. We don’t own any pets, but I always had a lot of pets when I was growing up. Feeding your pet well, along with exercise/play is key when raising pets.

  17. Birdiebee says:

I love my pets and show them love everyday by taking care of them nutritionally as well as spending quality time with them.

  18. Jeanine says:

My pets are a part of the family and I spend my time taking as good care of them as I do anyone else in the household.

  19. Ashley F says:

Aww! Your kitty is beautiful!! We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 pet rats that are part of our family. Most nights, every pet (except the rats, of course) are in our bed!

    • Dawn McAlexander says:

Do the dogs and cats get along sleeping together. That would have been hilarious if you said the rats slept with you, too. 😀

  20. Great tips to show our furry friends how much we love them! Healthy pets equal happy pets so a good diet is definitely a great way to make our pets happy and show them our love. Btw your cat is so cute 🙂
