Nutrisystem Vegetable Lasagna ~

On Friday I finished my 5th full week of Nutrisystem. Thankfully, this week was much easier than the previous week where I dealt with a lot of cravings.

Let me tell you about the Nutrisystem Vegetable Lasagna

As always, I would like to tell you a little about one of the foods that I really enjoyed this week – the Nutrisystem Vegetable Lasagna. It has layers of cheese, beans, spinach, corn, peas and pasta. Sometimes I add mushrooms to it. I really love their sauce that they use on their Italian dishes. I don’t think that I have tried even one Italian dish from Nutrisystem that I have not liked. The Nutrisystem Vegetable Lasagna is also very filling. I like to have it with either a salad or non-fat cottage cheese.

For dessert, Nutrisystem Chocolate Chip Cookies are also really good. I had not tried them until this week because, admittedly, I don’t love prepackaged chocolate chip cookies. These are very good, though.

A fellow #nsnation blogger and I were talking a few days ago about how to stave off hunger. Here is one of my tricks: I have found that eating my carbs late at night helps to make me feel like I am not really dieting. I get hungry {or bored, maybe} while I am watching TV. I have started saving my carbs for “TV time” while everyone else in the house may be snacking. Then I don’t feel deprived. I generally eat either a 1/2 cup or 1 cup of Cheerios plain. They are really good and healthy. :)

I admit, I get a lot of yummy things in the mail to review, and that can make staying on Nutrisystem a lot harder at some times than others. So, I have come up with a plan. I currently have a lot of chocolate goodies sitting in my kitchen waiting to be reviewed. But, you know what, I haven’t eaten any of it. Though my husband and daughter hate it {NOT! It’s chocolate!}, they will be the ones who get to review all the holiday goodies that are currently here and on their way. I think that is a pretty good plan. Please wish me luck!

Look below to see how I did. I am so close to getting one of those Nutrisystem bears. Man!

  8. You have some excellent plans that are making it obviously successful. I do struggle a bit at nighttime, but I find the dessert to be fine about an hour before bed. I struggle the most when I am cooking a super delicious whole foods meal for the family. THAT Is when I eat my afternoon snack. And I don’t eat carbs. I usually drink a yogurt drink, eat an egg, or sometimes drink my protein shake. It helps me not nosh down on all the great food, and I am not starving and cranky in the mean time.
