Breast enlargement: Q&A ~

The Look

With A-list stars regularly flaunting their new boob jobs in glossy magazines, plastic surgery can seem like a simple, hassle-free and glamorous option. Of course, all you are seeing is the half-naked celeb flaunting their now perfect assets – but what about the journey that has been made to achieve these results?
There’s more to surgery than a bedraggled before picture and a glossy after shot – so let’s delve a little deeper. Here are several questions and answers that could prove useful:
What does a breast enlargement involve?
It may seem obvious, but many people underestimate what a breast enlargement is. It’s a major surgical procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breasts and should be taken extremely seriously. As with all surgery, there are risks to consider – such as the effects of the anesthetic and healing times – so it’s important to attend a pre-surgery consultation.
Should I have a boob job?
Whether or not you have a boob job is of course up to you. It can greatly increase your confidence and improve your self-esteem, but you should remember it’s not the answer to all life’s problems. Many women go under the knife because they want a larger chest, while others have a breast enlargement to balance the proportion of the body or to correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy.
What implants are good?
Reputable clinics across the UK tend to use high-quality implants from well-known brands such as Allergen– the world’s biggest manufacturer of implants. Based in the US, Allergen subjects their products to over 100 quality control tests during the production process to ensure they meet a range of standards including the World Wide Quality Control Standards and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and the US Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) 21 CFR Part 820: Quality System Regulation.
How do I choose the right surgeon?
If you’re thinking about having a boob job, it’s essential to find a highly-qualified surgeon. As a rule, you should look for a surgeon who is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and who holds a license to practice with the GMC. All medical professionals should be forthcoming about their qualifications and history, so don’t be afraid to ask questions about their career. If you’re not happy, seek help and advice from a reputable clinic or contact the GMC for more information.
Having your bust enlarged is a big decision, so make sure you think things through properly.

  1. I don’t have a perfect body, but I have learned to love it, sans surgical improvements. I would consider another form of plastic surgery, but not on my breasts. I like them perfectly the way they are. :p

  7. The only thing I have ever considered doing to my girls is a redux, and that would only be to spare me the back pain. I understand women who want to have their body proportional, but in general I think it’s an necessary risk. Surgery always has its risks. It’s good to get all the facts no matter what kind of surgery you’re considering.

  8. Thanks for sharing! I am considering having a breast enlargement but not 100% sure. I don’t mind braving it under the knife I am just concerned about the recovery period. I suppose it will be worth it thought as I will gain so much confidence.

  9. Yes, I’m really thinking about getting a boob job procedure in Toronto and this article is really useful. I’ve always had problems with my breasts size and now I’m decided to undergo it, to make them bigger with one size. I’m sure that I will be satisfied of my results and honestly, I can’t wait until then!
