Katie Couric ~
Katie Couric returns to daytime television next week with “Katie.” Critics are calling this show, “sunny, sexy and smart.” The new show will be distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. “Katie” will include powerful segments intersecting news, entertainment, fashion, and healthy living among other topics, alongside thoughtful interviews with newsmakers, celebrities and everyday people who have extraordinary stories to tell.
Katie’s theme song will be entitled “This Day,” and performed especially for the show by Grammy-winning artist Sheryl Crow.
“Katie is somebody I can talk to about the things so many of us juggle: our children, careers, health, and balancing our personal and professional lives. Plus she is really fun! I think her show will reflect the same kind of heart and energy I try to give my music, so ‘This Day’ was a fun project to work on together, as friends,” says Sheryl Crow of long time friend Couric.
- Women Who Should Be Famous – People who make a difference through leadership, commitment to excellence and passion for life.
- You Only Live Once (YOLO) – Tackling one’s life-affirming bucket list. This spot will focus on viewers and Couric’s very own wish list and making those dreams reality for the first time.
“YOLO, which stands for ‘You Only Live Once,’ was coined by Drake and is sort of a modern twist on the notion of a bucket list,” Couric commented. “It will be fun to try some of these things myself, but I’m more excited to use the access we have to give other people opportunities to check off their lists,” she added.”

Never really seen her in anything other than a news setting so I don’t have a favorite moment but I can’t wait for the new show!!
Light hearted topics nothing too serious for the new show
I would say it would be her coverage of 9/11.

I always liked watching Katie on the Today show. I like her, she seems like a really nice person.
I’m not for sure what topics, I like all kinds of subjects.
just the funny lines they come up with.
She so funny, but I really don’t have a favorite moment.
I think she should review new products on the show.
i love the Today Show and I LOVED her on there….the show is just not the same without her!
i would like to see some actual hard hitting interviews..not just with stars..but with newsmakers..i think katie has a great way of interviewing and most the talk shows are just fluff…would be nice to see some real news!
I don’t have a favorite moment. I like it when she is just herself. Couponing needs to covered on her show!
